About this career
Materials scientists study metals, plastics, ceramics, and brand-new materials to make things stronger, lighter, cheaper, or greener — like better batteries or lighter airplane parts. They blend chemistry and physics with a lot of lab testing. A great fit if you like science and want your work to end up inside real products.
