This course builds on Professional Communication & Teamwork. Take it first if you are new to the topic.
About this course
Every technical career involves projects: a software release, a site build, a lab study, a training rollout. This beginner course teaches the core tools project managers use, in plain language and with one running example. You will learn the project lifecycle, write a scope statement with clear exclusions and map stakeholders; break work into a work breakdown structure, find the critical path of a schedule and make three-point estimates and a simple budget; and run the project with a risk register, RAG status reports and a lessons-learned review at closure. Each lesson has a short reading, curated videos and a practical task you can do on paper or in a free spreadsheet. It is a first step towards agile delivery and certifications such as PMI's CAPM.
